Vauxhall is launching a new three-year customer care commitment programme to strengthen its aftersales support for garages and drivers.

Every new car comes with a one-year/unlimited-mileage warranty on top of the 12 months' Vauxhall Assistance, which covers accidents and breakdowns. A second and third year warranty with a 60,000-mile limit is also available free to new car buyers. But motorists must have their car serviced in line with carmaker's recommendations.

Cover includes a courtesy car if the owner's car is off the road for any single warranty work taking more than 24 hours during a second or third year repair. The second year cover begins after the first annual service and third year cover follows the second yearly service.

Vauxhall is also launching a new MasterCover ServiceLink programme and an MoT test insurance scheme to provide cover between services and MoTs.
