The 2003 Laguna range boasts a new 2-litre engine and a new model, the Dynamique Techno. The extension to the offering is part of Renault's sales push for their D-Sector champion which enjoyed a 40 per cent lift in sales to November 2002 - to 232,075 units.

The new engine is the 165bhp 2.0 16V turbo which adds power while undercutting the 3.0 V6's company car tax penalties. Delivered by a twin-scroll turbocharger, power peaks at 165bhp at 5000rpm with a maximum torque of 270Nm from 3250rpm.

The Dynamique Techno model targets a growing market for premium spec levels within the Laguna range and includes 17 inch alloys, leather and Alcantara upholstery, satnav, as well as the Dynamique's standard spec of rear spoiler, sport front seats, front fogs, electric windows, ESP/traction control and CSV understeer control.

The Dynamique Techno starts at £17,260 OTR.
