Finance trained and with motor industry exprience dating back to 1988 when he joined the Whitehouse retail group as management accountant, Collins moved to Toyota (GB) in 1991.
Initially field based, he was closely involved in the establishment of the Japanese brand's UK network development strategy. In 1998 he was promoted to regional general manager with responsibility for implementing sales and marketing activities for the manufacturer's dealer network in London and the south. He later headed the research and development of Toyota (GB)'s aftersales strategic planning and direction.
