Used lightweight vans have been selling well at auction sites across the UK, boosted by the anticipated need for extra parcel deliveries in the run up to Christmas, reports Glass's Information Services.

At nearly every auction venue over the past month sales have been strong, helped by a better mix and quality of entry, coupled with larger attendances. Glass's says this is also the time of year when less well presented, or even unpopular, vans receive renewed interest thanks to the higher seasonal demand for parcel movers. “In response to this there is an accompanying short-term lift in their market worth,” comments George Alexander, Chief Editor, Commercial Vehicles at Glass's Information Services.
