The SMMT has unveiled its new website for Foresight Vehicle, the UK's national automotive research and development programme. Foresight Vehicle, now administered by SMMT, aims to promote, develop and demonstrate market-driven enabling technologies for future motor vehicles.

www.foresightvehicle.org.uk features a refreshed look and will provide more information to participants. SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan said, “We will encourage use by the interested public, academia, auto industry, researchers, sponsors, and by people directly involved with Foresight Vehicle projects.

”Our objectives are to develop the site so that it will become the best single source of up-to-date material on the Foresight Vehicle Programme and its projects', said Dr Nick Barter, Foresight Vehicle Programme Director.

The site features an online extranet, where research partners will be able to post their key information - project status, papers, publications, events and meetings information.
