The merger of WSG with Credential Environmental, effective this week, will offer “a national, totally dedicated waste collection, management and reprocessing service for waste tyres as well as environmental consultancy, management information and compliant disposal for automotive waste”.

The two merged firms will continue to operate autonomously, with Managing Directors Mick Fishwick (WSG) and Mike Jordan (CEL) remaining in post. All Directors of WSG will remain in post and Mick Fishwick will join the CEL Board.

WSG, the subject of a management buyout two years ago, icorporates the UK's largest waste tyre collection and recycling company, WTS (Waste Tyre Solutions) and the automotive waste collection company AWS (Automotive Waste Solutions). CEL comprises an 80,000 tonne per annum tyre recycling business, a national automotive liquids recovery arm and a national end-of-life-vehicle waste management business. The combined businesses will have a total of 11 operating sites throughout the UK and will employ around 150 staff. Both will continue to operate their existing trading arrangements and customer interfaces.
