MG Rover may back out of its Warsaw plant purchase plans and invest in Hungary instead.

Reports in the Hungarian media have pointed to this week's visit to Budapest by MG Rover executives as a sign of increasing interest in a possible link up. Hyundai, which was also originally interested in the Polish plant, is looking to invest upwards of 1bn euros in car production facilities in central eastern europe. And that could be Hungary, argues Tamás Vadas, owner of Hyundai importer Hyundai Auto Hungary.
