GM to expand in China

Vehicle production at Shanghai GM, the main General Motors joint venture in China, will increase by more than a third to around 150,000 units, according to a senior executive.

Shanghai GM vice president Cheng Hong said plans call for more than 150,000 units to be rolled out of the plant in 2003 against 110,762 last year.
