The former owner of the Hartwell Group is among 225 wealthy Saudis being sued by the families of 9/11 victims for allegedly supplying funds for Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network.

According to a report in yesterday's Sunday Times , Yousef Jameel, whose family bought the dealer group in 1990, is named in papers claiming more than $1trillion in damages from the Saudis whose money, the plaintiffs allege, went into funding muslim fundamentalist terrorist activities.

Jameel has strongly denied the accusations.
