AudaWorkstation, the guide for motor vehicle body repairers, will now offer access to a comprehensive database of motorcycle parts and labour data covering more than 80 per cent of the models sold last year from the top 13 manufacturers. The system will offer detailed exploded graphics, a fully-costed assessment and automated communications.

Existing users can upgrade their system to take advantage of the motorcycle dataset, supplementing existing motor vehicle coverage, which currently stands at 319 models from 30 bike makers.

By launching a computerised estimating system for the sector, Audatex says repairers will be able to improve profitability. Paul Tucker, Audatex managing director, says: “Our discussions with top work providers and repairers have highlighted that there is a real need for an automated repair estimating tool that allows high estimating standards.

“It will also improve the parts ordering process and provide seamless communications between all parties in the supply chain. This is a tremendous profit opportunity for everyone involved in the motorcycle repair business.”

A roadshow to promote the system visited Scotland, Manchester and Birmingham this week and calls at Bristol (July 29), Brands Hatch (July 30) and Harlow (July 31).
