The Land Rover Range Stormer concept will be badged Range Sport when it goes on sale in 2005.

Powered by the XKR's 4.0-litre 400bhp V8 engine and a 2.7-litre V6, the Sport will compete with the BMW X5 and Mercedes ML class. The production model will share many styling and technical innovations from the Stormer, though not the 'scissor' doors. A new 4x4 system, Terrain Response, allows the driver to select from six settings: 'dynamic' for high speed to 'deep ruts' for off-roading.
