A new online car wholesaling facility launched by UK Supplied (UKS) is offering independent and franchised motor retailers the chance to directly source delivery mileage cars at fleet discounts.

Retailers have access to new and pre-registered cars from more than 20 manufacturers for immediate delivery, handed over directly at the buyer's home or office. They are being sourced from carmakers, their fleet subsidiaries and franchised dealer groups. UKS offers dealers a ready-made, fully-maintained website, with links to their own sites, which shows carmaker list prices alongside discounted ones, or a profit margin calculator. UKS expects to sign 500 dealers this year (it says franchised dealers make up 75% of current users), and 5,000 within five years, supplying up to 50,000 cars a year.

Typical deals include a 5dr Ford Focus Estate 1.8 TDCi Ghia at £13,983, almost £2500 cheaper than list. Dealers can either buy the car themselves and negotiate a sale price to achieve a claimed margin of up to 30% or refer the customer order to UKS and earn a commission of up to £150 per sale.

UK Supplied was set up by Simon Empson, Broadspeed managing director, and Denis Keenan, Keeresources managing director.
