Administrators for collapsed bodyshop group Motor Repair Management are struggling to find buyers for a number of its 19 sites.

Ernst and Young, appointed last month, has revealed that the freeholds and leaseholds held by MRM for bodyshops in Dundee, Kirkaldy, Thurso, Birmingham Tyseley and Wimbledon are still for sale.

A number of sites are understood to have been reopened, including Lincoln, Welling Garden City, Forfar and Grimsby. The Lincoln bodyshop has been re-purchased by Edwin J Bowman (Lincs) Ltd, which sold the business on a five-year licence to MRM in May 2003.

Owner Andrew Bowman says: “I’ve employed four productives so far, that will be up to six by the end of the month. We have four work providers sending us work. With the winter coming we should be in a good position.”
