MG has released details of its new GT concept.

The new GT concept will have an engine developed around the 2.5-litre KV6 engine, raising power to 200bhp which is predicted to give the GT a 0-60mph time of under six seconds and a top speed of 145mph.

The new GT concept will include 17-inch Gunsmoke alloy wheels and a longer tail-spoiler integrated into the bootlid design, generating reduced lift at speed.

Further details will be introduced in 2005.
