DriveStyle Convertibles has opened a showroom specialising in new and used roadsters at the same time as becoming the UK’s second outlet for Dutch supercar brand Spyker.

The Harrogate-based business is owned by former CD Bramall and Polar director Steve Williams.

“The idea for DriveStyle had been there for a while. I had been looking at various franchises earlier this year but things weren’t quite right, then from discussions with various people, and thinking about how the retail industry is changing under block exemption, I decided the time is right to develop the idea,” he says.

Williams describes Spyker as the “halo brand”, beneath which he also sells convertibles of any marque and price, from the Ford Streetka to Ferrari 360. Cars are sourced from franchised dealers.

Sales are expected to reach 200 units in the first year, and Williams is already in “advanced talks” to add another British sports car maker.
