Just months after opening its second purpose-built bodyshop, AW Accident Repair Centres is achieving repair volumes of around 65 units a week.

When AW expanded to cover the Doncaster area 14 months ago, the branch was temporarily housed in two industrial units while developers built a 17,000sq ft bespoke bodyshop. That first started operating in August, but owners Andrew and Emma Walsh decided to get it established before its official opening this month.

Andrew Walsh says: "Within three months we completely blew our business plan out of the water.” The company counts “the majority of major insurance companies and fleet management businesses” among its work providers," he adds.

The Doncaster site is almost 50% bigger than AW’s main bodyshop in Sleaford, where the company began 11 years ago.
