A Renault Modus supplied by the manufacturer-owned Renault Retail Group to two national property management companies is set to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

Manchester-based Modus Properties, which owns and manages shopping centres, industrial sites and business premises around the country, teamed up with RRG's local branch to raffle the £9,250 city car on behalf of the charity Cancer Research UK’s Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

Tickets were sold from Modus Properties’ stand at the recent BCSC Conference and Retail Showcase at G-MEX in Manchester and also at the concluding gala dinner, raising more than £5,000.

But the winner, Eileen Connolly, head of retail marketing for Donaldsons, a property consultancy and the largest manager of shopping centres in the UK, decided to relinquish ownership to raffle the Modus once again, this time to benefit Donaldson’s corporate charity partner, the Meningitis Trust.

"Winning the raffle was such a stroke of luck," says Connolly. "Donaldsons hopes to be able to raise several thousand pounds for the Meningitis Trust when we set the Renault Modus to work for charity again."
