The one-millionth Peugeot 206 to be built in Britain at the PSA Peugeot Citroën manufacturing plant in Coventry rolled off the production line on 18th February.

Since its launch in August 1998, the Peugeot 206 has sold 443,884 units, and has been the top selling model to private new car buyers for the last three years.

Ryton is the only plant in Europe to produce both the 206 SW range and the 206 GTi 180. It is also the only car assembly plant in Europe currently working a seven-day week on a four-shift basis; production now stands at 750 cars a day, with over 53% of UK production being exported to both right- and left-hand drive markets.
