The French independent repairers' association FNA (Fédération Nationale de l'Artisanat Automobile) has issued a release reporting that its November 2002 complaint against certain clauses of Citroen's pre-BER authorised repairer contract has won support from the European Commission.

The Commission has reportedly asked Citroen to alter its current repairer contract terms, in unspecified respects, following several months of deliberations.

The FNA has since 1994 presided over a European automotive service and repair federation l'Association Européenne des Services et de la Réparation Automobile (AESRA), which it founded along with its Danish counterpart. AESRA has member repairer organisations in Germany, France, Denmark, Spain, Finland and Norway.(source: autoactu.com)
