LSUK has awarded its rotating electrics contract to Hella following completion of a review of its business.

The decision will see Hella become exclusive, sole supplier for all car and light commercial rotating electrics to LSUK's 58-strong branch network.

“Having taken the strategic decision to move to an independent, branded supplier of units, we undertook a review of leading manufacturers to identify the company we felt would be the right partner for our business,” says Paul Lucas, LSUK's managing director.

“We decided the overall package of product range and quality, brand image and support presented by Hella was the one that best suited our needs. We now look forward to working with them on this important project.”

Hella managing director Carl Brown says: “Hella. Rotating electrics is one of our four most important product areas and this contract provides us with a major opportunity to reinforce our presence in the UK market, alongside our existing Network Hella distributors. We're delighted to be working closely with one of the best-known names in the aftermarket.”

The contract takes effect from Monday, May 17 when Hella units will start to be supplied to the branch network. The Banbury-based manufacturer has geared up its production and logistics operations with the twin aims of meeting contract demand from LSUK as well as maintaining service levels to existing customers.
