Seven manufacturers will offer test drives at next week's Sunday Times Motor Show Live. Organisers say the line-up will appeal to prospective car buyers, who will be accompanied by a co-driver around an outdoor circuit.

For the first time at any motor show, drivers will be able to get behind the wheel of a Daihatsu Charade, Copen or Terios Sport; Honda Jazz, Civic or Civic IMA.

They will also be able to try the Hyundai Getz, Matrix or Coupe; MG Rover 45, 75 Tourer, ZT or ZS 180; Nissan Micra; Subaru Impreza, Forester or Legacy; and Vauxhall Astra or Meriva. The Taster Test Drive will be free to holders of a general admission ticket and will be available on each day. Visitors must have a valid driver's licence and can register to drive the vehicle of their choice at the booking area.

The Sunday Times Motor Show Live takes place at the Birmingham NEC from May 27 to June 6.
