Several hundred Rover cars spanning 100 years will meet at Ragley Hall, near Stratford-upon-Avon, on July 11, 2004 to celebrate the marque’s centenary. One hundred years ago the first Rover prototype was announced, on July 1, 1904, with sales of the Rover 8hp starting on December 1.

The centenary event will involve examples of all Rover cars produced throughout the century with displays including bicycles and motorcycles that bear the Rover name. The event is organised by the Rover Sports Register, supported by MG Rover Group and individual Rover model clubs.

Anyone with a Rover car is welcome to attend the one-day event in July with all attending Rover cars displayed in the grounds in front of Ragley Hall. Other activities include a centenary car display, auto jumbles, Ragley Hall tours and a Concours d’Elegance prize competition for the most immaculate Rover car in each class.
