The Maserati MC12 has been driven for the first time at a European public event during the Goodwood Festival of Speed with CEO Martin Leach at the wheel.

Leach drove the 630bhp, 205mph car at its European public debut during the festival and the car was driven by the MC12 development driver Andrea Bertolini for its second outing on the hill on Sunday.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed also featured many legendary cars from Maserati including a 1957 250F, the 1963 Birdcage driven by Matteo Panini, a rare 1954 A6 GCS Berlinetta featuring coachwork by Pininfarina and the 1957 450S Zagato a 420bhp, 200 mph car which for many years was the fastest road car in the world.
