Volkswagen has announced changes to its UK senior management team.

The new head of customer strategy is David Williams. He comes to this post following eight years as head of marketing where he led a team that was largely responsible for increasing annual sales from 6,000 to more than 17,000 units.

Williams will take on the responsibility to cover customer care, technical service and training.

Taking over as head of marketing is Nigel Brotherton. He has held managerial positions within the operations and marketing departments of Volkswagen Passenger Cars before his move to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Stuart Hodge also joins the brand from Volkswagen Passenger Cars where he fulfilled a number of senior aftersales roles. As head of brand services he will be responsible for overseeing the brand support team, parts performance and vehicle supply.

Duncan Sands will be the new head of retailer and fleet operations overseeing franchising and the development of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ national network of 90 van centres.
