Education for motor engineers on car air conditioning is being offered by Euro Car Parts, the independent supplier of car parts.

The training programme consists of a two-day course covering all aspects of air conditioning, as well as environmental issues of using refrigerants in vehicles. It enables engineers to learn about all aspects of air conditioning including safe handling of refrigerants, diagnosis of systems, electrical and electronic theory and principles of refrigeration.

The courses are free to anyone purchasing the Euro Car Parts air conditioning package, or just £198 for those with their own air con installation systems.

Gary Phillips, Euro Car Parts' air conditioning technical manager, says: "The training programmes provide industry-leading training to enable engineers to take advantage of the new opportunities presented by after care of air conditioning systems."

"In our experience once a workshop has the ability to service and repair air conditioning systems its customer base and demand will grow."
