Practical solutions to key financial management and funding issues are at the top of the agenda for this year’s AM Autumn Conference. Sponsored by Grant Thornton and Barclays, the event takes place on Wednesday November 17 at The Quadrangle Centre in Oxford’s Kassam Stadium.

Financial Management – winning strategies for pro-active dealerships covers the major issues that you, AM’s readers, tell us are important in running and expanding a dealership or group.

They include funding growth (especially if you don’t have the resources of a major plc), cash management and asset utilisation; improving return on capital employed; pay plans and getting the maximum cost benefit from your staff; controlling IT expenses; maximising your finance incom; and, making sure you benefit from your investment in FSA registration.

A panel of expert speakers will aim to provide delegates with some fresh thinking and practical best practice guidelines that are focused on helping dealerships and groups to improve their profitability and make the most of major trends in the industry.

And those experts, including speakers from conference sponsor Grant Thornton and associate sponsor Barclays, will also be on hand to answer specific enquiries about the topics they cover during the question and answer sessions.

Moderator for the day will be Declan Curry, the main business presenter on BBC television’s Breakfast Show and a contributor to BBC News24. An experienced and respected journalist, Curry will be sure to pose some challenging questions to both the speakers and the audience. He also chaired the AM Dealer Conference in June with great success.
