£100m cuts planned at MG Rover

Phoenix Venture Holdings, MG Rover group’s holding company, is planning to make cuts of £100m and return to month-by-month profitability next year.

The company has confirmed that Nigel Petrie, the newly appointed non-executive director, is leading a committee charged with making a profit at MG Rover for "some months" next year.
