Fiat Group CEO Sergio Marchionne has confirmed that Fiat’s 2004 results will be in line with guidance to investors given in July last year.

Marchionne expects turnover this year to be about €47bn (£32.7bn), and that Fiat Auto will achieve operational break-even in 2006.

In 2004, Fiat increased its Italian market share to 28% and took 7.2% of the western European new car market.

Fiat, which launched its Croma executive segment model to the media this week reckons to maintain its Italian share this year, and raise it to 30.5% by 2007.
