Bentley is to unveil its new Arnage Drophead Coupe show car at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show, which begins on Friday.

According to Bentley’s chairman Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen the 2005 Arnage range has been “re-engineered at significant cost and is a very modern, high-technology saloon”.

The new four-seater convertible will feature a 6.75-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine producing 450bhp.

New LED rear tail-lamps uses technology borrowed from the Continental GT coupé range. 19-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels are also included.

Bentley says if customer demand is there, the new Arnage Drophead Coupe could go into production as early as Spring 2006.
