Prices range from £8,995 rising to £15,050. There will be five trim levels available, including Authentique, Expression, Dynamique and exclusively for the five door, Privilege and Initiale.
The five-door version is expected to account for 25% of UK Clio sales.
Six engines will be paired to the five door super mini. Three petrol: 1.2 16V 75, 1.4 16V 98, 1.6 VVT 111 and three diesel: 1.5 dCi 68, 1.5 dCi 86 and the 1.5 dCi 106 which comes with a six-speed gearbox.
Standard features include variable assisted power steering, radio CD, multi-function trip computer, internally adjustable door mirrors with driver’s blind spot eliminating mirror, air recirculation, tinted windows, double optic headlights and body coloured bumper inserts.
The new Clio is the eighth Renault to be awarded five-stars by Euro NCAP for a front impact. Five-door Clios have six airbags as standard including driver and front passenger auto adaptive airbags and front lateral airbags. Curtain airbags are standard on all versions of the five-door except the entry level Authentique where they are offered as a £200 option.
In addition, the new car has ABS with EBD (electronic brake distribution), brake assist, optional ESP (electronic stability programme), two height adjustable three-point front seatbelts with integrated pretensioners and load limiters as well as three-point rear seatbelts with integrated pretensioners and load limiters on the outer rear seats as standard.
The five-door version goes on sale on January 27.
