Following the launch of its Options scheme for bodyshops, the MVRA is launching two more programmes aimed at the mechanical repair market and MoT testing stations.

There are three options available for mechanical garages, two of which are targeted at workshops with an MoT test station, together with a package for standalone MoT stations.

“We have developed MVRA Options after detailed research among members past and present clearly showed that repairers of all disciplines wanted more choice and better value for money from the trade bodies,” says Adrian Bond, managing director of the MVRA.

The Options scheme has been designed to allow members to choose the level of support they want, and how much they pay for it. A business wishing to use a service not included in its chosen membership package can either upgrade or purchase it on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Services available include mystery shopping to marketing performance analysis.

“Mechanical repairer and MoT test stations wanted more choice and better value for money from the trade bodies. Mechanical repairers and MoT test stations want easy access to expertise, yet they don’t want to be paying for services they don’t use regularly. Options meets these needs and put the repairer back where he should be – in the driving seat of his business,” says Bond.
