Hyundai has released first pictures of its new Sante Fe.

The company said it cost £90m to develop over a 26 month period.

The new look marks a noticeable difference in the Korean manufacturer’s future design plans. It comes with a new 2.2-litre and a 2.7-litre V6 petrol engines.

The Santa Fe will include a new four-wheel drive system which electronically directs power to the wheels that have the best traction.

Hyundai said the Santa Fe's chassis was extensively revised to attain a ‘more refined sedan-like ride’.

Details of when it will go on sale and how much it will cost are yet to be announced.
