Snetterton Race Circuit in Norfolk will become home to a cluster of prestigious new car dealerships within the next five years.

The circuit’s owners, Motorsport Vision, have revealed a £15m redevelopment proposal for the site, on the A11 about 20 miles from Norwich, which includes areas for around three car and five motorcycle showrooms.

Chief executive Jonathan Palmer hopes to begin construction next year once planning permission is granted, and complete the project within five years. The redevelopment will also include revisions to the racing circuit, a hotel and café, restaurant and conference facilities, a race school, shops and industrial units for engineering businesses and race teams.

A spokesman for Motorsport Vision says it has already received “a few enquiries” from vehicle manufacturers who are interested in the proposal.

AM understands Palmer hopes to attract prestige sportscar brands such as Porsche and Lotus. Porsche already has a large dealership near the Silverstone racing circuit in Northamptonshire.

“Our vision is to see Snetterton as a desirable venue. We want to make it into a proper international circuit with international motorsport events, and a real destination point for businesses,” says the spokesman.
