Euro Car Parts has signed a deal with OE filter manufacturer Hengst to become its exclusive distributor in the UK.

The £60m turnover supplier, which specialises in the German, Scandinavian and French carmakers and has 30 sites across the country, expects to supply the products mostly to trade customers, with a smaller proportion of retail buyers.

Mark Wardell, Euro Car Parts’ group marketing manager, says it is an important addition to the company’s parts stock, as replacement filters are its fifth largest-selling product line.

“Hengst’s standing as an original equipment manufacturer and development partner with many of the most respected and popular manufacturers in the industry highlights that Euro Car Parts is the company to come to for genuine and original equipment car parts,” he adds.

Hengst is based in Munster, Germany, and is a development partner to many carmakers, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen and Porsche.
