Lex Vehicle Leasing maintenance manager Jamie Wiseman has been appointed chairman of the newly established 1Link Service Network User Group.

Wiseman will sit at the head of a panel with representation from 40 users - both fleets and vehicle maintenance providers - of the industry standard e-commerce platform operated by Epyx.

The User Group will meet quarterly to discuss 1link Service Network issues and a chair will be elected every 12 months.

Ken Trinder, head of business development at Epyx, says: "1link Service Network has become such a crucial part of how the fleet and vehicle maintenance industries operate that creating a User Group is an essential step. Together, we will explore ways of taking the platform forward, discuss best practice, new enhancements, and address any concerns.”

1link Service Network is now in use by 40 of the UK's 50 vehicle leasing companies, representing a total parc of around two million company vehicles, as well as more than 10,000 service and maintenance providers, including franchise dealers, independent garages, and fast-fit networks.

  • 1link Service Network provides an online system that lets fleets and their service and maintenance providers agree a single list of jobs to be done and costs to be charged, often automatically through agreed parameters.
