Dundee bodyshop Broomhill Autobody has gone into liquidation. Four other Broomhill Autobody businesses, including a holding company, continue to operate in Scotland. KPMG has been appointed as liquidator.

The company was wound up after a Welsh hire car company reportedly presented a petition to the Sheriff Court in Dundee in February.

As AM went to press the liquidator had not managed to establish the company’s losses, assets or the reason the company became insolvent. AM was unable to contact the owner, Fleming Hanson. Phones at the other branches were not answered.

“We are still trying to ascertain the situation,” says a spokeswoman for KPMG. “There seem to be various shell companies.”
