Nissan has announced details for its revamped Micra.

The new supermini, which will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, has a new family nose and tail, revised seats and trim.

Interior changes include a new trip computer housed within the instrument panel rather than the centre console and thicker glass to reduce cabin noise.

All engines remain unchanged, apart from the 1.0-litre engine previously fitted to the entry-level Micra E, which has now been replaced with a 65bhp version of the 1.2-litre engine.

At the top of the range, a new 1.5-litre 108bhp HR engine has been added specifically for the Micra.

The Micra is available now and prices range from £8,075 to £10,645 OTR.
