Kia has made price increases to its range and has launched a series of new derivatives, the Picanto S, Sorento XT and Sedona SE+.

The Picanto S is Kia’s new entry-level model available at £5,495 and has a 1.0-litre engine, power steering, group 2 insurance rating and combined fuel economy of 55.4pmg.

Prices for the Sorento XT range from£23,995 and £25,095 OTR. Chrome side style bars, chrome-trimmed door mirrors, dark-style headlamps, privacy glass and 18-inch alloy wheels are all included as standard. Interior standard equipment includes a satellite navigation system and a 6 disc CD autochanger.

Kia’s large MPV, the Sedona SE+, is priced from £19,295 on-the-road. Standard specification includes electric windows, air conditioning, leather interior and MP3 compatible CD audio player.

Price changes

The Picanto GS trim will increase by £500 to £5,995 and the LX by £100 to £6,595. The Cerato GS and LX increase by £45 each to £9,795 and £10,545 respectively. The LX Auto is now available at £10,495, a £95 increase and the SE increases by £5 to £11,995. The Sportage 2.0 CRDi XE Auto and XS Auto also increase by £100 to £16,795 and £18,295 respectively.

Metallic/mica pricing will be increased by £5 on passenger cars and Carens (up to £300) and by £25 on Sportage, Sorento and Sedona (up to £350).

The Picanto SE has been taken off the range and is currently on run-out.

All changes come into effect from July 1.
