Valeting company Falcon Car Care Ltd is planning a drive to increase business from dealers following an MBO led by sales director David Navarra and general manager Ian Rigby.

Since being launched in 1974 by Derek Smallman, who has now stepped down, the £5m turnover company has gained contracts with a number of leading dealer groups. These include at least three that are ranked in the top 20 of the AM100.

Navarra now has his sights set on further growth. “We’re looking to bring on more groups and achieve greater volume. We’re a national company and we’re not far behind the leading names in this sector but we need to move forward,” he says.

Yorkshire is one particular region he intends to target for new business. Navarra says one strength is Falcon Car Care’s “competitive price” and it is experienced in all areas of preparation, from new and used cars to fleet preparation.

Falcon Car Care has offices in St Helens and Wolverhampton and a staff of almost 350 employees. The MBO was backed by private funds and the Bank of Scotland.
