The Office of Fair Trading has decided to revoke the consumer credit licence of a Mid Glamorgan motor dealer.

An adjudicator found that the licensee, Eric Williams, was convicted of contravening the Consumer Credit Act by committing nine counts of unlicensed activity. He also failed to provide a settlement figure for a debt, and was found by the adjudicator to have engaged in unacceptable behaviour when seeking to collect debts.

The adjudicator therefore determined that the licensee was not fit to hold a consumer credit licence and decided to revoke it.
