Saab has announced record UK new car sales for June, with final sales of 2,740, giving the Swedish premium carmaker a market share of 1.2%.

Saab’s sales grew by 66% in June, putting the Swedish marque’s total registrations up by 42% to date against 2004, at 13,969 units.

Saab GB’s managing director Jonathan Nash, says: "2005 continues to be a truly monumental year for Saab in the UK, and the eagerly anticipated arrival of the important new 9-3 SportWagon and 2.8 V6 9-3 Aero models in September will ensure that our sales pace is set to continue."
