A one-off version of Citroen’s C2 VTR supermini, based on an extra-terrestrial theme, has landed in the UK, worth £108,000.

With a similar value to a new Ferrari 360 Modena, the modified C2 is the culmination of six months work by modification specialists, SQ Plus.

It has £22,000 worth of stereo equipment from sound system company Alpine, including 20 speakers, 8 subwoofers and 11 amplifiers.

Phil Leach, managing director of Manchester based SQ Plus, says: "We set out to build the most unbelievable car out there, using a model that people can both relate to and afford. It was an easy decision to go for the Citroen C2, which is without question the new Saxo and the next big thing in modifying."
