Sebastian Coe OBE, the man who led the London 2012 Olympic bid to victory, will be a guest speaker at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders annual dinner.

Lord Coe will be joined by Ford car design chief Peter Horbury at the London Hilton, Park Lane, on November 22.

Roger Putnam, SMMT president and annual dinner host, says: “We are looking forward to hearing from Lord Coe, the architect of London's Olympic bid victory.

“The news was particularly timely for our industry since we recently announced a return to the capital for the British International Motor Show, following a 30-year absence. Three motor shows will take place before 2012, and I am sure this will raise awareness and help focus the international spotlight on the venue and its excellent facilities.”
