The 2,000sq m showroom, servicing and parts site in Cheshire took 10 months to complete and was opened by Chris Hayden, chairman and chief executive of Ford Retail Europe.
Hayden praised the dealership’s 150 employees, who managed to increase sales and customer satisfaction levels during the 10-month redevelopment by Adonis Construction.
“This team had their workplace demolished to make way for the new site and worked from temporary showrooms and porta-cabins,” he says.
“Despite the daily disruption they remained loyal to the business and actually increased their performance during the construction. Testimonial to their abilities was the fact that customer satisfaction also increased during this period, a remarkable achievement.”
Customer satisfaction with the sales and service departments also increased, with the servicing department showing a 22% increase, according to Viewpoint, Ford’s national scheme.
