The new Nissan Note prices will range from £9,995 for the 1.4 S to £13,395 for the 1.6 SVE automatic when it goes on sale in March.

The Note is designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK with a choice of three engines (1.4 S, 1.6, 1.5dCi) and three equipments levels (S, SE, SVE). The SVE trim is not available with the 1.4 engine.

The Note S comes with anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution and four of airbags. It also gets a CD player, front electric windows, remote central locking, flat reclining front passenger seat, lighting system with battery save, a nine litre glovebox, passenger airbag cut-off switch, Isofix childseat mounting points and the sliding rear seat. Air conditioning can be added for £600.

The SE adds air conditioning, another two airbags, 15-inch alloy wheels, the split level luggage floor called ‘flexi-board’, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, rear electric windows, rear cabin lights, a centre armrest for the driver, foldaway tray tables for the kids, a six speaker stereo and extra colour-coding for the body.

The SVE includes electrically folding mirrors, 16-inch alloys, electronic climate control, electronic stability programme becomes standard (except on automatic models) part leather upholstery, and automatic headlights and wipers.
