Vendors participating in BCA’s Volkswagen Combination Sales programme, launched in November, have seen up to 30% improvements in conversion rates and price performance versus CAP Clean lift by five per cent.

Featuring stock from the contract hire industry and franchise dealers, BCA stages a monthly high-volume sale at BCA Birmingham, which attracts around 150 franchised and independent dealers and a further 40 or more Live Online buyers. Live Online has added £70,125 to the bottom line for vendors involved in the programme.

Only VW product is eligible for the sale, and vehicles entered must have had no more than three owners and be under 60,000 miles.

Overall, BCA has sold more than 2,000 vehicles in the programme, for a 91.1% conversion rate. The average selling price of just under £8,000 is equivalent to 100.88% of CAP Clean. Beetle and Polo have averaged over 102% of CAP Clean, with Golf, Lupo, Passat and Touran all exceeding CAP Clean.

One large operator has seen an average increase of five points in CAP Clean performance to 103.5%, while sale conversion has improved by a substantial 24 points to nearly 99%, compared to similar stock entered in general sales programmes.
