Ian Plummer has been appointed the new managing director of Reagroup UK at a time when the company has restructured its senior management.

Instead of two divisional directors and a commercial director beneath the managing director, there is now a deputy managing director and six regional general managers.

Plummer has been working with Reagroup’s network of 21 dealers for the last three years. He joined as general manager of the flagship Renault in London City branch in 2003 and created the first regional structure with Reagroup in north-east London. He was London divisional director before becoming managing director.

In his new role, Plummer is looking to develop volume sales in the fleet sales sector, as well as expanding in the LCV and car market.

He says: “Our aims are quite simply volume and profitability through quality, in keeping with the role set out for Reagroup as part of the Renault Commitment 2009 plan.”

Plummer replaces Jean-Gabriel Carlier in the role of managing director. Carlier left Reagroup to become head of DAIM, Renault’s property management arm, based in France.

Meanwhile, Stuart Walker has been appointed to the newly-created role of deputy managing director. Walker has been with Reagroup for 26 years. For the last ten years he was northern divisional director of Reagroup.
