The new site is across the road from the group’s Ford dealership in Gunnelswood Road, Stevenage.
At the opening, Gates put on a colouring competition to win Toys R Us vouchers and adults competed to win a Mitsubishi Grandis for a weekend or two ringside seats for a boxing match.
John Belton, Gates brand manager, said: “Opening our new Mitsubishi dealership in Stevenage was strategically important to us as it enabled Gates to extend Mitsubishi new and used car sales, servicing, parts and accessories to owners throughout both Hertfordshire and Essex.
“We have already sold more than 30 cars and pickups to new customers in the few days we have been open.”
