Lipscomb Cars, the Volvo group and new name for Lotus and Fiat in Kent, has taken ownership of its new site in Maidstone.

Gallaghers, the contruction company, developed the £8 million site after seven months of work.

The new dealership will house the latest cars from Volvo, Lotus and Fiat in three individual car showrooms. The 1.8 acre site also includes specialist workshops, MoT facilities and used car areas.

Lipscomb cars also take on new additions to the management team for the new site which include: Fiat sales manager Paul Harris, Volvo sales manager Martin Davies, service manager Mike Thompson and Matthew Kay assistant service manager.

Managing director of Lipscomb Cars, Peter Barnes, said: “The purchase and development of this site would be a big challenge for any Kent business and we are doing everything in our power to make sure we get it 100% right.

“Our business is a success because of the service we provide. Through the staff we employ and everyone we have taken on, I’m positive we will deliver and make this investment a good one.”
