Experian is promising dealer groups a low-cost way to manage their own web marketing, following its partnership with internet development consultancy Box UK.

The deal integrates Box UK’s website content management system, Connetric, into Experian’s AutoLocate service, which helps dealers to make their online presence more effective and to use the internet as a marketing tool.

Dealers will now be able to make changes and updates to their websites themselves, rather than rely on external support.

Somerset-based Howards Group – a family owned multi-franchised group selling more than 5,000 cars per year – is one of the first to contract Experian to redevelop the group’s website with the enhanced AutoLocate service.

Roger Rowlett, operations director at Howards Group, says: “We recognize the value of being able to control our own website. The most effective sites are the ones that provide the most up-to-date and relevant content.

“We now have control over our site and the flexibility and efficiency this gives us allows us to spend more time selling cars.”
